  Fortis appoints Bernard Tancré as General Manager Prime Fund Solutions Luxembourg

On September 13, 2006 Bernard Tancré (38) was appointed as General Manager Prime Fund Solutions Luxembourg, a unit of Fortis Merchant Banking dedicated to the services of the alternative investment community.

Bernard Tancré succeeds Jacques Bofferding, who recently relocated to New York to take over responsability for the activities of Prime Fund Solutions in the US and Carribean.

Prior to joining Prime Fund Solutions, Bernard Tancré headed the Client Service Department of Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) in Luxembourg, covering custody and administration products as well as relationship management.

Bernard Tancré spent ten years with BBH, starting in the Global Controllers department and then moving to the Client Service group, where he first headed the Fund Administration service before taking over responsibility for the entire department.

Prior to joining BBH, Bernard Tancré spent three years at Coopers & Lybrand Luxembourg (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers), on Banking, Insurance and Investment Fund audit assignments and two years at Discount Bank SA (now Union Bancaire Privée), setting up and running a fund administration department.

Bernard Tancré is a graduate of the Solvay Business School which is part of the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
